Description

Under direct supervision this role performs duties related to the shipping process of moly materials and products.

  • Assist in the shipping process of moly materials, etc.

  • Operate light to heavy mobile equipment (load/offload trucks, moly bags management, etc.)

  • Complete the appropriate skill level criteria of the progression program

  • Perform labor type work and keep facilities clean and free from job related safety hazards.

  • Data entry for moly production adjustments and shipments

  • Assist in Lab samples and management.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Six (6) month experience with material handling equipment in an industrial setting.

  • Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge, as well as safety.

  • Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company

  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

  • Ability to interact effective with others

  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders

  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces

  • Ability and willingness to learn and apply new or changing job-related tasks as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience with basic hand/power tools

  • Basic computer skills (Execute basic functions in Excel and SAP)

Criteria/Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, walk on uneven surfaces, talk, hear, and see.

  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday.

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard-hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

The estimated pay range for this role is currently  $19.00 - $26.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
